We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team for a major utilities and infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing cost, schedule, and progress control activities to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of the project in line with client requirements and project objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Planning & scheduling:
Develop, update, and maintain the project master schedule using Primavera P6. Review contractors' baseline programs and progress updates to ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual requirements. Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of changes on schedule and recommend corrective actions.

2. Progress monitoring & reporting:
Track project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client review. Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost and schedule performance. Evaluate contractors' progress claims and support in progress certification.

3. Cost control & budget management:
Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved financial plans. Assist in cost forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value management (EVM). Review and validate contractors' invoices, variations, and claims from a cost and time perspective.

4. Coordination & communication:
Interface with project managers, discipline engineers, and client representatives to provide accurate project control data. Support risk management and change control processes by providing time and cost impact assessments. Ensure proper documentation and version control of all project control deliverables.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in project controls within construction supervision of infrastructure and utilities projects (roads, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, etc.). Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Excel, and other project control tools. Strong knowledge of cost control principles, earned value analysis, and reporting techniques. Experience working with major consultants or supervision teams in the UAE or GCC region preferred. Excellent communication and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
