Senior Project Coordinator / Project Director - Oil/Gas

Job description / Role

Client a large international contractor has an urgent requirement for a Senior Project Coordinator / Director from a Mechanical background for an Oil & Gas project in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a project team to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget. He will need to build credibility, respectful partnerships and apply rigorous and disciplined approaches whilst executing the delivery of the project in our existing portfolio of work. We are seeking a candidate who has capability in driving strategy and innovation as well as providing the foundations for a motivating and challenging work environment.

The project director will also be strong in the following areas; client liaison, construction management and providing guidance and assistance to project team. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a creative environment and will have excellent communication and leadership skills.

This position will also be accountable for the performance of the project team regarding to profitability, cost control, quality, efficiency, client satisfaction and also work place health, safety and environmental issues.

Requirements

- Must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (HND with excellent experience may be considered).
- The project director shall possess strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate himself and his team.
- The successful candidate will have a tertiary background in construction with a proven track record.
- Must have 20+ years experience- working on projects of at least $250m to $500m value with "Oil and Gas Construction Mechanical Projects“ experience
