Senior Project Engineer - GCG Engineering Services

The job holder is responsible for all Mechanical Engineering related activities for estimation, design, procurement, project execution and site services of Liquid & Gas metering solutions, Oil Loading/Unloading solutions, Chemical Injection Skids, Mechanical structure of skids and Valves & Pumps solutions.

Responsible for design, engineering, FAT/i-FAT, technical support, project management and bids & proposal for:
• Liquid & Gas metering skids, Chemical Injection Skids, Mechanical structure of skids and Valves & Pumps Skids.
• Oil Loading & Unloading packages, Analyser Housing or Shelter and Process & Mechanical Instrumentation
• Well versed with International & local – codes & standards for QHSE, Fiscal & Custody transfer metering, Oil & Gas Process and Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience on applicable software & tools i.e. AutoCAD 2D/3D, Visio and MS Office Suite.
• Very good in business communications in English i.e. engineering documentation, presentations and technical write-ups.
• Support to line manager in business process standardization, development of templates for design, engineering & business process and implementation of QHSE.

Experienced to lead complete business life cycle as below:
• Business lead/Inquiry, Estimation & Quotation, techno-commercial support to Capture Plan and Pre-Award Technical negotiations & discussion with clients,
• Project execution, Design & Engineering, Procurement & Manufacturing, Assembly & ITP and Installation & Commissioning Services.
• Warranty & Spares handling and Annual Maintenance Contract to Client retention i.e. new business leads for expansion, modifications and upgrades & Retrofits.

Pre-Order
• Review bid documents and specifications.
• Conduct / attend site inspection if required.
• Closely coordinate with Sales Engineer/Manager, Electrical Engineer or Instrumentation Engineer for full Project Scope of deliverable(s).
• Prepare Bill of Materials for Mechanical engineering related items and activities.
• Develop and maintain documentation control plan for all assigned jobs, i.e. FDS, detail design, ITP, QHSE etc.
• Close coordination with procurement team for sourcing of suitable vendors and sending out Request For Quotations
• Compiling of complete Bill of Materials along with electrical and instrumentation scopes.
• Finalize estimation & costing calculation
• Prepare technical and commercial offer.
• Check and review the final offer along with concerned Sales Engineer and Manager
• Assist Sales Team with Revisions of the Project Proposals

Post-Order
• Be custodian of Project Charter, QHSE and OTOBOS for all assigned jobs.
• Reviewing of customers Purchase Order, terms and conditions.
• Highlight any discrepancy to concerned Sales Engineer and Manager
• Initiate a kick-off meeting with representatives from sales, procurement, project and service teams
• Enhance and apply the documentation control plan for all assigned jobs, i.e. FDS, detail design, ITP, QHSE etc.
• Coordinate with electrical engineer and instrumentation engineer for respective scopes.
• Components & material selection and preparation of final bill of materials for procurement purposes.
• Prepare General Arrangement Drawing for client approval using Auto CAD, Visio MS Office and applicable tools.
• Prepare mechanical shop drawings for in-house or outsourced manufacturing.
• Coordinate with QC / Project Engineer for documentations, stage inspections, witness testing
• Supports service team during installation and commissioning.
• Cost monitoring for the entire project duration and makes sure that project will be within allocated budget.
• Ensures timely execution of the project satisfaction of all stake holders and meeting KPIs of OTOBOS and QHSE.
• Plan, demonstrate and attend FAT, iFAT and SAT (as applicable) as per job specific ITP.
• Develop and issue as-built drawings and documentation.

Requirements

• University Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Nature and length of previous experience: 8+ years of experience as Mechanical engineering with system integrator or OEM or EPC in Oil & Gas etc.
• Specialist knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
• AutoCAD (2D/3D), Visio and applicable design & calculation tools for mechanical engineering
• ERP/ Orion / Oracle System operation
