Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Project Engineer (Transportation Structures) to join our award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This role is within our Infrastructure division where the main focus is on Design works.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include:

- Preparing bridges and civil structures designs to relevant local standards and in compliance with client expectations.
- Check and review designs in accordance with KEO processes.
- Preparing technical reports, design drawings, work specifications, and input to other documents.
- Provides technical advice and leads teams within own discipline.
- Carrying out feasibility and optioneering designs.
- Giving technical input into proposals and tendering as required.
- Assisting with design approvals from authorities/agencies.
- Adhering to quality assurance procedures within KEO and its clients.
- Responsible for maintaining high quality control of project deliverables and supervision of their production in accordance with industry good practise.
- Collaborating with other disciplines to achieve fully integrated design exceeding client expectations.
- Supporting the project management team; planning and estimation of technical tasks and deliverables time-frames, reporting progress to the Project Manager.
- Communicating at all levels to support collaborative work practices and achievement of team goals.
- Contributing to the effective functioning of the team by identifying with and participating in the attainment of team objectives, communicating, and sharing knowledge.
- Managing own continuous development and supports the development of colleagues
- Demonstrating experience in leading a wide range of Bridges and Structures Engineering Schemes across the Gulf Region.
- Leading delivery teams to achieve project deadlines and quality requirements

Requirements

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 7 years of work experience, partnered with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Master's Degree is preferable.
- 5 Years of GCC experience is also required.
- Membership to a known professional engineering body or working towards such certification is desirable (IEng, CEng, PE etc.)
- Proficient in Design Software; Midas, SAP2000, etc.
- Experience in 3D review software. Microsoft Office.
- Experience in BIM environment projects is mandatory
- Experience managing design risks and mitigating them in project delivery
- Knowledge of parametric design is advantageous
