Employment: Full Time

AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Project Surveyor to be based in Dubai.

The purpose of this role is to manage, control, and monitors all commercial aspects of the project from feasibility stage through to completion of the construction period in respect to project costs, budgets and cash flows in compliance with Client Protocols and Procedures.

To take the lead role under the guidance of an associate across a portfolio of high rise residential schemes taking responsibility for day to day management of individual project surveyors on each of the schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Produces cost estimates at concept, scheme and detailed design stage.
- Oversee the production of a detailed BOQ for tender.
- Manage the tender process, review and analyse tender returns and prepare a recommendation to the client.
- Input into value and risk management workshops as required by the client.
- As primary project cost controller, ensures that the project remains on budget through the design and construction phases.
- Assesses and values progress payments and change requests.
- Reviews and compares scopes of work, production rates, and cost data.
- Preparation of earned value reports.
- Prepares, reviews, and updates cash-flows.
- Estimates variation orders for Subcontractors/GC Contractors.
- Reviews and evaluates payment certificates for Subcontractors/GC Contractor.
- Evaluates and negotiates variations and change orders in liaison with the Contract Administrator, Commercial Manager, Design and Construction Team.
- Evaluates and negotiates final accounts settlements.

Requirements

- A minimum of 10 years’ experience with large scale projects.
- Experience in high rise developments.
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of cost management.
- Knowledge of the principles of management, organization and administration.
- Knowledge of the standard procurement practices.
- Computer literate in all Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of Cost X and BIM software preferable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Clients and other project team members
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
