Job description / Role
I am seeking a Senior Project Coordinator for a Construction support role for a major international contractor for a role based in Abu Dhabi
The position of Senior Project Coordinator will provide assistance and support and act as a link between various departments on Civil Projects from mobilisation stage until the completion of the project.
The role will provide Technical Support for Estimates during Tender periods producing documents such as Method Statements/Project Execution Plans
PRINCIPAL DUTIES of the Senior Project Coordinator
- Develop the required Method Statements for the Estimator to price.
- Provides continuity and coordination with project manager and team for mobilisation matters.
- Arranges for the early submittals to the Client
- Familiarises site personnel with Company systems
- Provides counsel and advice to Project Management on all practical aspects of construction
- Visits site to assist on all construction activities in a trouble shooting capacity
- Assists project with selection of subcontractors
- Conceptual design and finalisation of detailed design with the Engineering on the project temporary works.
- Liaises with the technical studies Section
- Assists project with any legal, administrative, or contractual items or queries, and assists in preparation of claims.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil/Building Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of experience including 10 years with a contractor,
- Experience in Planning, Costing, QA/QC, Coordination of Design and all mobilisation requirements.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
