Senior Prosthetist and Orthotist – Western – Dubai
A well-established medical center in Dubai is looking for a Senior Prosthetist and Orthotist to join their highly professional team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and interview patients to determine their needs
• Measure patients in order to design and fit medical devices
• Design orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on physicians' prescriptions
• Take a mold of the part of a patient’s body that will be fitted with a brace or artificial limb
• Select materials to be used for the orthotic or prosthetic device
• Fit, test, and adjust devices on patients
• Instruct patients in how to use and care for their devices
• Repair or update prosthetic and orthotic devices
• Document care in patients' records
Requirements
Requirements
• Not less than 3 years as an Orthotist/Prosthetist in a large hospital with relevant experience with patients with the same diagnosis seen in acute care hospital or rehab facilities
• Bachelor degree or Diploma minimum of three (3) years course duration in Prosthetics and Orthotics
• Current National License or membership in a recognized international registration board
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Skills
• Fully literate in both verbal and written English
• Excellent customer service and patient care skills
• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
• Computer skills (e.g. workload measurement input, word processing, email, etc.)

• The desired candidate must be a people person, an excellent team player, who is outgoing, energetic and positive with a willingness to learn and improve.
