Job description / Role
A leading global construction consultancy who providing integrated project and programme management services for construction and engineering projects in the UAE. They have offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, making them one of the strongest international construction consultancies in the region.
The role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor will include both Pre Contract and Post Contract duties including:
Pre Contract - Cost Planning and estimating, Value Engineering, cash flow forecasts, Whole Life Costing, risk management; Bills of Quantities production (POMI and CESSM3); Tender services including compilation, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations; Contract drafting (FIDIC)
Post Contract - Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs; Interim valuations and payment certificates; Variations analysis, recommendations and management; Risk and value management and cost control functions; Costs analysis project work; Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks; Preparation of progress/ cost reports; Reporting to Associate Director on all commercial issues; Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations; Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.
In return as the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you can expect a salary up to 35,000AED - 40,000AED per month plus medical and life insurance cover, 25 calendar days annual leave and a company gratuity scheme.
Requirements
You will need to have proven experience within a Quantity Surveyor role in the GCC on hospitality, theme park or major retail developments and must have a consultant or client background.
You will also need the following qualifications;
* MRICS status is advantageous
* Degree in Quantity Surveying
* Minimum of 10 years total experience
* 5 years in the UAE
