Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

The role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be to work with a team consisting of estimators and quantity surveyors across a range of projects within the UAE.

Client is specifically looking for someone from a contracting background and not consultancy work.

The ability to oversee and advise the selected team while developing their skill set in all document disciplines such as budgetary estimates, Bills of Quantities, and cost estimates.

Prepare evaluations and cost projections of the assignment to meet the requirement of works in progress.

The role will require constant updates for the Project Manager while also advising them on any contractual issues that arise.

Excellent communication skills are required, as well as a strong and assertive attitude in the workplace.

An ability to understand and execute instructions from the Commercial Director is vital to the success of the position.

Requirements

- UAE experience in either civil or fit out projects
- A strong personality with excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of the position and the many functions it entails
- The ability to oversee a team on selected projects to ensure everything is concluded as planned
- RICS qualified would be an advantage
- Experience working from the side of the contractor

- AED 25,000 - AED 35,000 depending on experience
