Job description / Role
A well-reputed construction company is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Procurement Engineer for a Villa Complex project. This role requires someone with extensive experience with procurement and claims procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Preparing and analyzing costings in the tendering stage.
• Advising on procurement strategy.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
• Performing risk, value management and Cost control.
• Negotiating and managing procurement contracts with Middle East suppliers/sub-consultants
• Negotiating and managing client contracts with government / semi government/private clients
• Responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantity as per the tender documents.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architecture Engineering with at least 5 years of experience out of which a minimum of 3 years as a Procurement Engineer in construction domain.
• Must be fluent in English (speaking and writing skills).
• Strong knowledge of various contract forms, most importantly FIDIC
