Senior Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1 Contractor (Infrastructure) - Dubai

Client is a well-established and extremely well respected business across the Middle East, having worked there for over 35 years now. They are involved in projects ranging from anywhere between 200million AED up to 750million AED so will typically be tendering for the largest projects currently happening within Civil Engineering (Highway / Maintenance / Infrastructure / Roads / Rail / Utilities).

The Role
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be managing post contract Quantity Surveying on multiple projects. They are currently working on 2 major infrastructure projects, which include Highway and Bridge construction along with all other associated works, therefore you must have a background on the same projects.

Your role will be (but not limited to):
* Monitor contract costs against agreed budgets - company financial reporting.
* Develop and monitor the use of cost and financial reporting systems.
* Identify potential risks and evaluate options for control.
* Guide and advise staff on contractual issues
* Managing a team of Project Quantity Surveyors
* Guide and develop site staff, identifying training where necessary
* Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements.
* Oversee the procedures for certification for contract payments to sub-contractors

Requirements

* A degree in Quantity Surveying is a must
* 8+ year’s experience - at least 3 years in Middle East
* Excellent knowledge of FIDIC contract
* Background on build projects ideally commercial, residential
