Job Description
A Senior Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Prof. Basel al-Ramadi, Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. The successful candidate will work on a project investigating the immunological signaling pathways that predispose to the development of autoimmune disease.
The position is supported by a 2-year UAE University-Asian University Alliance grant.
Job Requirement:
The position is for an enthusiastic young scientist interested in immunology. The successful candidate should have at least a MSc degree in a biomedical discipline with extensive knowledge and research experience in more than one of the following areas: immunology, autoimmune disease animal models, flow cytometry, molecular/cell biology, and bioinformatics.
Primary responsibilities include the design and performance of in vitro and in vivo experiments using animal models. Prior experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, biochemical assays, and murine models is preferred. Additional duties include preparing and maintaining detailed records, logs and summary reports of all experimental findings, conducting literature searches and performing other job-related duties, as required

Minimum Qualification
Applicants must have a MSc degree in immunology/microbiology, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or a related biomedical field with 1-2 years of appropriate research laboratory experience.
