Senior Retail Design Manager (Iran)

Client is based in Abu Dhabi are currently recruiting for a Senior Retail Design Manager for a large-scale Shopping Mall project in Iran. This position would be based on site in Iran but accommodation and monthly flights back to UAE are on top of monthly gross salary which is around 50,000 AED.

- Leading the role of the retail Specialised interior Design Review Team.
- Support the Project Manager appointing and mobilising, training and monitoring the Design Review Team according to approved mobilisation plan and budgets.
- To support the Project Manager in developing the documentation and process for the retail design review delivery phase of the project.
- Develop with the Clients principle designers, the design language and concepts to be captured in the Tenants Design Criteria (TDC) manual, including the retail signage guidelines and ensure principles are in harmony with the overall design concept of the property.
- To develop the design relationship and lead the Anchor and Major Tenants designers on retail design guidelines.
- Ensure that all submissions are reviewed, commented and documentation and returned formally within the stipulated service level time frames by the design team.
- To monitor, record and report the status of retail unit’s submissions with the Project Manager and coordination team.
- Monitor with the Project Manager the Design Review Team expenditure against budgets.

Requirements

- 10 to 15 years Retail Design for major International brands
- 5 years or ideally at least one major retail development in a design review role ?
- Demonstrable experience in leading retail design projects
- Proven Retail Design and Centre Management understanding
- The Retail Designer & Delivery process is achieved through both customer focus and the ongoing relationship with retailers, their designers and their contractors, builders and or shop fitters. To this end, the Retail Designer must be multi-disciplined in Retail Design, Retail Knowledge and Construction Management.
- High level of Retail Design technical knowledge, including CAD;
- Good drawing skills, including perspective drawing and spatial awareness;
- Creativity and imagination;
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, to write briefs, promote and explain ideas, and build relationships with client and Tenants design representatives;
- Knowledge of the wider construction and design industries;
- Strong networking skill to develop team relationships with Client and key stakeholders;
- Project management skills, flexibility, including the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;
- Attention to detail;
- Organisational and creative problem-solving skills;
- Good power of persuasion, negotiating and management skills;
- Team working and mentoring in order to work with a range of other professionals;
- Business, finance and budgetary understanding.
