Employment: Full Time

On behalf of a client, leading integrated global oil and gas player operating across the energy sector value chain, we are currently looking for Senior Security Analyst to join their team in Dubai

JOB PURPOSE: Handle incidents escalated from security analyst level and do in depth analysis to identify root cause, attacker details, related impact, and decide on recommended action and improvements plan. Senior Security analysts are expected to stay up-to-date on the latest security intelligence, hacking methodologies, and related technologies to enable them to do their role effectively.
This position is a member of security operation center (SOC) team who will be operating 24 hours per day 7 days per week

• Handle 2nd level security support incidents and escalate to higher levels including 3rd level vendor support as required.
• Review threat management systems to classify and quantify risk and threat vectors.
• Develop metrics, reporting and documentation on frequency, impact, and types of incidents.
• Collaborate on the investigation of incidents, containment, remediation and root cause analysis
• Collaborate and conduct research to design and implement new security technology, update existing strategies, improve process and create additional documentation. Develop techniques and processes to identify anomalous behavioral patterns.
• Identify gaps, take ownership of tasks and become a contributor to projects as needed.
• Advocate security best practices, strategy, architecture, and assist in security design consultations.
• Apply strategic and tactical responses in challenging environments with heterogeneous systems.
• Provide functional and technical support for the security technologies used.
• Develop and implement new correlation rules and use-cases in the in-house security software and enhance the monitoring and detection capabilities of the SOC
• To integrate in-house security software with other monitoring tools with appropriate scripting knowledge skills
• Ability to translate complex concepts and requirements from face to face meetings into documentation, statements of work, and proposals a plus.
• Analyze reported security events and incidents and recommend remediation and improvement actions
• Provide threat and vulnerability analysis as well as security advisory services
• Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends.
• Keep current on threat trends, attack & defense techniques and practices.
• Performing detailed forensic analysis of systems and networks to support the resolution of information security incidents, root cause and remediation.
• contribute to the development of appropriate IT Security policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls in line with the corporate IT Security framework.
• Identify and assess security risks and assist in implementing measures to manage and mitigate all identified risks.
• Participate in closing identified security audit points.
• Periodically report on IT security status, security systems efficiency, and recommended improvements to management.
• Organize and conduct trainings for employees to increase security awareness.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

• University degree in computer science
• Should have minimum of 7 years of IT Security experience, with minimum 3 years of experience in SOC.
• Should have strong IT and Technology background.
• Should have very strong knowledge in IT security solutions including but not limited to Firewall, NGFW, IPS, IDS, SIEM,AV, Content Filtering, Cloud Security, Penetration Test, Security Code Review, End Point Detection & Response (EDR), User Behavior Analysis (UBA) and Security Scanners.
• Strong proficiency with at least 1 programming or scripting languages.
• Exposure to the development Security Information Analytics & Dashboard
• Strong understanding of IT protocols and related hacking methodologies.
• IT Security Related certification such as CISSP, CEH, CCNE etc. will be a plus.
• Exposure to Security Orchestration Automation & Response (SOAR) Framework and Cloud Access Security Broker
(CASB) will be a plus.
