Job description / Role
Role Summary:
- The Senior Staff Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In the role of Senior Staff Engineer, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
- Develop, propose, and execute strategy for the development of Analytics that comprehensively impact customers, GE Aviation's Services business, and Supply Chain delivery
- Connect and integrate Analytics into Digital products align with the Services Digital product strategy
- Innovate the development of and apply new Analytics methods for new levels of accuracy, speed, and scale
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments
- Lead global teams in development and validation of analytics models for use on fielded commercial engines
- Develop analytic models to drive CSA productivity, support field issues and improve removal predictability
- Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization
- Lead technical reviews and participate as a reviewer
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering environment
