About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior structural engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality and innovative engineering solutions. The senior structural engineer will oversee project design and development, collaborate with various teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

Lead the design, analysis, and inspection of various structural projects including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
Develop and refine structural design calculations, including load analysis, material selection, and stability assessments.
Create detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software and ensure adherence to applicable building codes and standards.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions.
Perform site visits to assess project progress, identify issues, and ensure construction is in compliance with design specifications.
Prepare and review engineering reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and provide strategic solutions to any arising challenges.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment.
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting structural engineering.

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (master's degree preferred).
Professional engineer (PE) license is required.
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SAP2000, ETABS, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit).
Strong understanding of building codes and standards (e.g. AISC, ACI, ASCE).
Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
