Senior Technical Engineer - Java - TDD - Spring

Job description / Role

- To design & Support IT solutions for the Group.
- Working as part of a design & support team, the Senior Technical Engineer will design, develop, support and deliver robust and cost effective solutions for both Business and IT led initiatives including solution development and cost estimations, configuration and deployment & Business Case development & approval.
- To support, contribute and ensure solution compliance to the architecture, production processes, and other IT standards.
- To support, contribute and ensure development of the roadmap of the concerned technology roadmap aligning with IT strategy.

Requirements

- Degree in a subject relevant to IT
- 7 years of specialised technical experience, within a business IT environment.
- CMMI and ITIL frameworks

Skills (in one or multiple of the following):
- Development technologies J2EE, Spring, JSF, Hibernate, MQ, XML, Web Services, JavaScript etc, in an Enterprise environment and GUI Technologies /Web/Think Client* Server: Core Java, Java EE (EJB 2/3, JMS, WebServices), Spring, SOA, Hibernate, Drools, JBPM, WebLogic/JBoss, Oracle , MySQL* Thick Client: Core Java, Swing, Spring * Web: Core Java, Spring, JSF/Tapestry/Rich Faces, Servlet, JSP, AJAX, JBoss
- .NET* ASP, .Net 2.0, Scripting-JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, Ajax, ADO.NET, WinForms 2.0
- Database Design and Implementation - Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server and database scripting. Advanced PL/SQL development, performance tuning, Security and Privileges. DB environment optimisation. Knowledge on IAS, PHP, ETL, Network and I/O related concepts
- Enterprise Application Integration: JBoss, TIBCO, ETL, Middleware transformation technologies, Messaging/MQ/MSMQ, SOA/WebServices5.
