Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The basic function of this position is to perform maintenance and repair jobs as directed by the Workshop Controller/Supervisor.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Supervises and assists the activities of technicians, electricians.
• Conducts repairs and maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment accordingly and as assigned by the Workshop Forman.
• Delegates the tasks to the technicians, electricians.
• Inspects Vehicles and requests the required spare parts to the Workshop Controller.
• Properly handles and maintains all tools and equipment and keeps them in a clean and working condition. Reports breakdowns for maintenance or exchange.
• Reports any misuse/ abuse of the vehicles to the concerned Supervisor.
• Abides by the technical norms and standards.
• Abides by the department and Company's policies and procedures.
• Abides by the site safety and health regulations and instructions given by superior
• Responsible for exercising due diligence towards the environment, health & safety of self & others in the organization
• Responsible for complying with the applicable HSE procedures, instructions, requirements, laws, regulations from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies and those applicable to his/her job requirements
• Responsible for reporting to his/her superiors’ occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect the environment, health, safety and company reputation.
• Enhances customer satisfaction through providing service with high standards.
• Performs other tasks as required and other responsibilities related to position

Complies with the Health & Safety instructions:
• Responsible in exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self & others in the organization
• Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE procedures, instructions, requirements, standards received from regulatory and statutory bodies
• Responsible for reporting to superior occurrences, events, violations and acts that may impact staff health and safety or the environment

PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA
• Performs all required repairs within deadlines.
• Performs maintenance and repairs with 100% compliance to safety.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 year of relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Fluent in English.
• Second language of Arabic
• Good command in communication.
• Good physical ability for lifting/pulling/pushing
• Proficient in MS applications
• Ability to work under medium harsh conditions
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems
