Job description / Role
The purpose of the Senior Traffic Engineer is to improve the company capabilities in terms of providing state of the art consultancy services in the field of traffic and transportation engineering taking into consideration the environmental impact, safety, sustainability, and costs aspects. He/ she must consider competence and compliance with all current codes and standards. The Senior Traffic Engineer should be responsible for leading a team of project engineer(s) and junior traffic engineers(s) with direct report. He/ she should have the ability to have an ongoing comprehension of the project scope, budget, and schedule to give recommendation the optimizes the success of project execution. Also, he/ she should consider environmental impact, safety, sustainability, and costs when planning, designing and supervising Transportation projects such as road design and safety, traffic impact studies.
Requirements
• 10 years in a similar position, UAE experience essential
• Good knowledge of roads, traffic and transportation design standards and experience in managing own projects from feasibility through to implementation
• Very good knowledge with roads, traffic and transportation design software's
• Able to lead other junior Transportation Engineers
• Able to meet project schedule and perform all required activities without exceeding the project budget
• Engineering specialized software in civil engineering fields such as: PTV Vissim, PTV Visum, Sidra, Synchro, HCS.
