Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Main Purpose of the Job:

Mott MacDonald is looking to grow its transport planning team to support the delivery of multiple projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

* Line management of junior levels
* Prepare technical and financial bids and engage in business development activity
* Responsible for technical excellence on TIS projects
* Assume project leader role on medium sized projects, and assist project leaders on large projects
* Main Client contact, address all needs and queries from client
* Management of Project Finances, tracking progress and budget
* Management of Sub Consultants
* Demonstrate the ability to use initiative to solve the majority of problems that could occur on a project
* Understanding of the Mott MacDonald Methodology and Project Management principles, and implementing this on projects
* Contract management and Invoicing
* Skills in managing own time and the time of others, setting priorities for others in order to meet deadlines
* Conduct team resourcing meetings, ensure projects are properly resourced and that team members are sufficiently occupied
* The ability to identify tasks to be delegated to junior levels, and to manage such delegated tasks
* Mentoring and training other team members
* Review the work of others, and project deliverables
* Identify opportunities, create follow up work

Requirements

Essential Candidate Requirements:

* Minimum 8 years plus experience in transport planning/modelling/engineering
* Minimum Bachelors' degree in a relevant engineering discipline; a Masters' in Transport Planning and Engineer would be advantageous
* Membership to a relevant, recognised professional institution would be a distinct advantage
* Highly competent skills in VISUM
* Software skills in VISSIM, CUBE, SYNCHRO, SIDRA and HCS
* Dubai Roads and Transport Level 3 TIS Modeller/Liaison Engineer
* Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs STEAM Reviewer Approved
* A self-starter and the ability to work both alone and in teams resolving complex tasks
* Experience in making sound judgements on complex and sensitive issues
