Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: Ensures consistent, profitable growth in wholesale revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• To demonstrate the ability to secure and to grow the revenues generated by the existing Havaianas customers in the GCC: Sport Retailers, Duty-Free Accounts, Department-Stores, Footwear Specialty Retailers, Fashion Specialty Retailers, Hotels & Resorts, etc..
• To develop new Havaianas Accounts and open new Havaianas doors, closing all opportunities in a timely manner, according to the budget and sales plan prepared conjointly with your Management
• To sell to selected Department-Stores and Specialty retailers a range of premium swimwear brands and accessories for which AMZ Group have the distribution rights for the region: such as, Pain de Sucre, Sundek, Feriado Nacional, Despi,…
• To monitor assigned accounts’ payment situation and credit terms with our company: to prevent bad debt issues, and limit the risk of late payment
• To handle the visual merchandising of the products and maintain a strong follow-up with key accounts to keep high standards within our client relations.
• To adhere to assigned accounts’ targets in terms of minimum stock levels: notably making sure that the Havaianas fixtures and Havaianas hooks in stores are full with relevant styles at all times
• To control that the Havaianas dedicated space and/or the Havaianas fixtures are not utilized to sell competitive flip-flop brands
• To regularly visit the retail points of sale, to make sure the brand presentation is conform to the brands’ guidelines and VM standards
• Analysing and understanding the clients’ decision process, “open to buy” and replenishment-orders: you will maximize the pre-seasonal orders, in order to secure early orders for the AMZ Group
• To prepare client orders and provide accurate pricing ensuring the company pricing policy is respected at all times
• To provide professional and effective customer service to meet client expectations in line with company standards and procedures.
• To maintain working knowledge of assigned accounts’ promotional plans and marketing calendar, and make recommendations to allow brands to take advantage of the same
• To communicate courteously with clients and colleagues by telephone, email and face to face to build a positive relationship at all time and positively represent the company and brands.
• To handle other duties as the management may from time to time require.
• Forges strong business relationships with customers, while leveraging brand portfolio, to capitalize on opportunities across brands and troubleshoot on major issues.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of related experience in Wholesale/ Retail industry, with 5 years within the Middle East, experienced in apparel and accessories and with a background in Merchandising or Buying is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• A strong understanding of brand management trends and cost effective approaches are extremely helpful
• Proven analytical skills
• High level of computer literacy including Photoshop, Powerpoint, Word and particularly Excel.
• Able to create, execute and implement plans
