Service Buyer

Job description / Role

The Buyer – Sales & Marketing Services is responsible to work with the relevant departments and ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment as required. He/ she will also reach out and facilitate vendor partnerships as required from time to time to support the Sales and marketing team in their day-to-day functioning.

• Coordinate purchasing activities with Sales & Marketing functions to understand the consumables requirements.
• Proactively understand vendor tie-up requirements as required by the Sales and Marketing function
• Publish demand forecast report to management & seniors within the procurement function
• Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers that meet the organisation's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
• Analyse and evaluate supplier bids, tenders, proposals, or quotations; negotiate prices and delivery conditions
• Follow-up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery
• Negotiate the prices with suppliers and ensure that the price offered is the best as per the market
• Ensuring all purchases are adequately insured and managing the relationship with insurers.
• Liaison with Finance to organise Letters of Credit for purchases and managing all payments to suppliers with best possible credit terms.
• Ensure full compliance to company policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School
• 3 years’ experience plus technical certifications as required. Should have completed all necessary operational training at advance level.

Functional Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge of best practises of Procurement tools
