Service Field Technician

Job description / Role

One of our clients with over 30 years of experience in PET containers solutions has an urgent opening for a 'Service Field Technician' for their Dubai office:

Duties:
- Troubleshooting of blowing machine problems in collaboration with the onsite technical personnel and technical helpdesk;
- Finding appropriate solutions with customers or the spare parts department in order to obtain the parts in time;
- Advising and training of customers about proper care and maintenance of the machines;
- Producing intervention technical reports;
- Providing after sales technical service and support at both the local and remote level.

Requirements

Professional experience:
- Experience in maintenance of blowing machines and filling lines is preferred
- At least 5 years in PET packaging

Education:
- Diploma in mechanics/electronics (preferably electronics)

Ability/Knowledge:
- Technical skills and knowledge of PLC software and the ability to read hydraulics/mechanical/electrical schemes.

Specific Knowledge:
- Informatics: MS Office, MS Project, Autocad.
- Linguistic: Good knowledge of English and Arabic or Italian as a second language is preferred
- Other: Availability to travel 70% of the time in the assigned area or outside (worldwide) if requested by the company.

Personal characteristics:
- The candidate should be a self-starter, able to multi-task, detail oriented, meticulous and should have the skills to work under pressure, handle people and situations, and solve problems.
