Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To work with integrity in the kitchen, in harmony with a team of co-workers and report to a line manager. Should possess the skill required for the job and train all the other team members. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for guests that will become a critical factor in strengthening and maintaining our reputation.

• Prepare and shawarma meat.
• Follow recipes and SOP’s.
• Follow good cooking techniques that ensure food is tasty and healthy, prepared hygienically in a clean environment.
• Ensure the kitchen premises and all equipment is cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Protect/clean the equipment’s and make sure there are no inadequacies
• Notify superiors on any damages, deficits.
• Deal requests with professionalism and patience
• Check stocking levels of all consumables.
• Assist in controlling food cost and wastage control.
• Train all other team members.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience as Shwarama Team Leader
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Manage the shawarma man on a daily basis including resolving issues and maintaining high motivation levels within the team.
