Shift Charge Engineer

To oversee and manage the operational activities during the shift, monitor operational performance and provide technical support to ensure efficiency, productivity and safety

• Monitor plant performance and provide operations engineering support dealing with all process / operational related matters and activities during the shift to ensure optimal plant operations in a timely manner.
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of shift staff and manage all plant operating activities ensuring they are executed in a safe and efficient manner so that the operational area meets required targets.
• Review all current work instructions, SOPs, processes and procedures and recommend necessary changes to the Operations Manager / Deputy Operations Manager / O&M Manager, ensuring process efficiency and optimization of resources.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• A Bachelor degree holder in Engineering.

Minimum Experience:
• 7 - 10 years’ experience in water desalination and power generation plants with 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.

Skills:
• Knowledge of relevant plant equipment
• SAP working knowledge is preferred
• New IMS system awareness/working knowledge is preferred
• Project Management
• Mentoring, coaching and people management skills
• Knowledge of the operations in water desalination and power generation plants
• Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills
• Team work and effective collaboration skills
