Shift Supervisor- FMCG - Milling - Manufacturing

Job description / Role

• Supervises staff to the level assigned by senior management. Oversees the function of the shift on their 24/7 milling site
• Manages the production on a day to day basis using the established process monitoring and control systems.
• Follows the processes and ensures the smooth operation and running of the production during the shift. Monitors and controls the production of the processing line, pellet press line, barley crushing line, soya pass line, barley cleaning line, soya production line, and roughages production line,
• Schedules the raw materials into the plant’s production line to ensure adequate feedstock.
• Follows all the production processes to ensure safe operation of the plant and the personnel at all times.
• Monitors quality of the products to ensure conformity with specifications and formulae.
• Ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of the mill meets the standards expected on a daily basis.
• Carries out routine checks and audits around the mill on a random and frequent basis.
• Optimizes the processes in a highly automated environment, reducing down time and meeting production guidelines.
• Coach and mentor others technicians and other staff

Requirements

• A diploma in a technical subject of the equivalent.
• At least 6-8 years of milling experience.
