Job description / Role

On behalf of our client, a global multinational steel company, we are recruiting a Shipping / Logistics Manager to be based in the Dubai Regional Office.
You will follow up on all shipment execution including analysis, evaluation and selection of transportation companies/agents, manage and report transportation cost, customs clearance, warehouse management and evaluate markets for freight rates and competition.
You will have experience chartering vessels preferably in the Black and Caspian Seas, handling freight negotiations and nominations, coordinating with the mills, develop and coordinate with partners and agencies, risk management etc.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a graduate and have a minimum of 7 years of experience in either the Shipping or the Steel industry at a supervisory level. Your current designation needs to a Shipping or Logistics Manager or both.
English speaking is mandatory but a second language such as Russian would be an added advantage considering the dealings you would have with Steel Mills in the CIS countries.
