Job description / Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our infrastructure maintenance project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality execution of works in compliance with contract specifications and company policies, while maintaining project milestones and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and support the WBBG Project Quality Plan (PQP) objectives, leading by example in all quality-related aspects.
- Review and understand all relevant contract specifications, requirements, and WBBG shop drawings.
- Develop practical planning and methods for constructing the works.
- Ensure that comprehensive method statements are prepared for all elements of work.
- Monitor and ensure strict compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings.
- Maintain and ensure the quality of the works conforms to project specifications.
- Prepare and issue daily and weekly progress reports, concrete requisitions, and short-term lookahead programs on time.
- Coordinate and ensure timely submission of requests for inspections (RFIs) to QA/QC and document control teams, adhering to WBBG policies.
- Assess and confirm the availability of competent resources to execute works in alignment with the approved schedule and milestones.
- Familiarize and ensure that staff understand method statements and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in infrastructure maintenance projects.
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Strong understanding of quality control, contract specifications, and project execution methods.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
Salary:
AED
5,000 to 6,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
