Site Engineer (Infrastructure)

Job description / Role

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Site Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on new build projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Site Engineer experienced in civil infrastructure work with good knowledge in high profile projects in the UAE and working for recognised Main Contracting Companies previously.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month Contract position employed as an outsource candidate through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the exterior work of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Managing sub-contractors in delivering civil infrastructure works including kerb stones, block laying, manholes, pipework and landscaping works.
• Supervise day-to-day site operations
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, and ensure work is carried out as per approved plans.
• Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly site reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to Municipality regulations, UAE building codes, and project safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections to maintain quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to site challenges.
• Ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time and stored properly.
• Oversee subcontractors’ work to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation

Site Engineer (Infrastructure) Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related
• Experience: 4-5+ years in civil construction and civil infrastructure works.
• Knowledge: Strong grasp of installation sequencing, QA/QC standards, and health & safety protocols.
• Proven experience in leading and managing sub-contractor teams in civil infrastructure works.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
