Job description / Role
With a global reputation for innovation in design and engineering, this international organization requires a talented.
Construction Site Supervisor for a period of 3 months to assist with the successful execution of a project in Abu Dhabi. Under the guidance of the Project Manager/Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the managing and coordinating all sub?contractors ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality requirements and schedule.
Key Duties:
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, plan, schedule, prioritize and organize material deliveries, equipment, manpower and subcontractors.
- Inspect subcontractor work daily; ensuring it meets design criteria and quality standards.
- Ensure that all subcontracted work progresses according to schedule.
- Immediately notify the Project Manager of any schedule, quality or budget impacting issues that cannot be resolved with subcontractor.
- Perform final inspection on completed work and have any deficiencies corrected, prior to subcontractor demobilizing from site.
- Produce weekly progress reports to the Project Manager.
- Maintain and enforce all HSE legalisation and regulations and perform daily job site safety inspections.
Requirements
- Excellent English comprehension, fluent verbal and accurate written skills (business is conducted in English)
- Associates degree in Mechanical, structural ,architectural engineering or construction management
- At least 5 years post qualification experience
- Meticulous documentation and record keeping skills
- Knowledge and/or experience of civil construction and structural engineering would be an advantage
