Employment: Full Time

As the SOC Manager (energy) you will oversee the daily activities of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) whilst ensuring that all activities of the Security Operations Centre are performed in accordance with industry standards and security best practices.

Description

* Supervise and manage SOC processes onshore and offshore
* Ensure the organisation has the requisite staff, processes and technology to manage security risks effectively
* Develop deep understanding of operational risks and drive the response process in order to minimize the impact of these risks
* Take primary responsibility for end to end security event monitoring, management and threat response
* Ensure constant assessment of incident identification, assessment, reporting, communication and mitigation of potential risks
* Develop and support strategic plans and projects to meet Global Security and SOC goals and objectives
* Develop and revise processes to strengthen the current SOC framework within the organisation
* Demonstrate and improvise on mechanisms used by the SOC to secure the organisation against cyber attacks
* Conduct quarterly SOC drills to validate procedures and incident response
* Work with IT and related teams to drive improvements across the organisation to improvise the SOC service

Requirements

* A minimum of 6 years of experience within a SOC or MSSP role
* Preferred experience in a managerial position within a Security Operations Center
* Experience in working with log management, security monitoring and security incident management tools such as SIEM
* Knowledge of security technologies such as Firewall, IDS/OPS, HIDS, Anti-Virus and Vulnerability Scanning
* Strong working knowledge and understanding of information security frameworks, incident management, operations and application of security best practices
* Industry relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM etc.
* A bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent.
