The Job Opportunity

Serco has been supporting the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in the Middle East under the existing MELABS contract since 2011. Serco will provide 21 service lines, including catering, waste disposal, facilities and ground maintenance, laundry, transport management, procurement and welfare services in support of ADF bases primarily in the United Arab Emirates. Serco is looking to hire a Soft Services Supervisor for their MELABS contract.

The purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth operation of all reception and accommodation; laundry and Contact Centre Services for the MELABS contract.

Key accountabilities

- Management, leadership and supervision of staff including Reception and Accommodation Clerks, Laundry / Linen Attendants and Contact Centre Operators.
- Implementation and management of a bedding and linen replacement program.
- Implementation and management of an effective laundry system.
- Weekly recording of data, statistics and the performance levels of the contact centre
- Liaising with clients, supervisors, operatives, managers and heads of other departments to gather information, resolve issues and ensure all client issues are tracked on CAFM.
- Issue weekly report on outstanding Work Orders to CM & HODs
- Send month end performance report to Contract Manager (CM) & Heads of Departments (HODs) using CAFM Data
- Develop an In-depth knowledge in CAFM System used in MELABS to enable CAFM administrator rights¦ update and review of formats and data capture
- Review of all monthly reporting data and formatting
- Conduct monthly one on one feedback sessions and provide documented action plan to improve performance of the staff;
- Conduct Weekly Teem Meetings
- Conduct Monthly Toolbox Talk

Requirements

What we are looking for in our candidates

- A minimum of 2 years' experience of managing hotels or accommodation blocks, including direct supervision of staff.
- Experience in managing various teams within different disciplines, which includes rostering, performance reviews, leave, absence, overtime, inductions etc
- Mature, detail minded, flexible, pro-active, self-motivated and responsible approach to work with strong initiative and problem-solving capability.
- Experience managing sub-contractors.

Specific requirements

- Proficient in MS Office Packages, Knowledge of CAFM and RMS and advantage
