Job description / Role
Responsibilities & Activities:
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain java application phases, code, and software.
• Defining application objectives and functionality.
• Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging, as well as recommending changes to improve the established processes.
• Transform requirements into stipulations and identify production and non-production application issues.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Ensuring continuous professional self-development.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
• Proven hands-on Java Software Development experience.
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational and non-Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate, Mongo DB).
• Experience in the Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with a variety of designs, languages, and methodologies (e.g., SQL, ORM, Microservices, Agile and Scrum).
• Competence and comfort using multiple frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful.
• Ability to write clean, readable Java code.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
Nice to have:
• Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer.
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Spring MVC).
• Familiarity with continuous integration (e.g., Docker and Jenkins).
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Experience understanding of AWS Amazon Web Services
