Role Summary:

BHGE is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to support Eastern Hemisphere sourcing growth based in Dubai.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Provide category expertise to their assigned category
- Responsible to deliver sourcing projects
- Evaluation and selection of a high-performing supply base
- Execution of Request for Information/Quotation/information/Proposal, and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and total cost of ownership
- Supplier evaluation, assessment, qualification, and selection processes, up to parts & process qualification
- The negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers in order to meet specified quality, delivery and cost objectives
- The review of the contracting process with suppliers in coordination the Contract Management Specialist
- Collaborates with business stakeholders to develop and execute strategies to enable growth, increase margin, reduce costs, and rationalize the supply base.
- Leads, facilitates, and implements strategic sourcing activities through a combination of tactical and strategic initiatives for assigned commodities and Product Lines.
- Participates in and supports category management activities globally, as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with S&OP, Product Line, Operations, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing organizations.
- Negotiate price, capacity, payment terms, supplier charge backs, and additional commercial terms and conditions, etc. with suppliers to establish various levels of supply agreements
- Drive supplier/product qualifications to successful completion.
- Contributes to detailed planning and execution of improvement actions with suppliers.
- Contributes to assessment of current risk factors & market situations (geopolitical, currency, etc.) and identification of opportunities.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and sourcing principles
- Candidates having the ability to demonstrate sound business ethics and consistency with principles, values, and behavior.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of Sourcing/Procurement experience
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial aspects with suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage supplier relationships and long term partnerships.
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
- Strong professional relationship building skills, and ability to interface across the entire enterprise (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, PL, etc.)
- Experience with SAP - Supply Chain / Finance modules
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization
