Job description / Role
Sous Chef for a Leading Catering Service Company in Dubai
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Supervisory roles with the team of a few kitchen helpers but will also function as chef in the kitchen and produce his own result
• Lead the small kitchen, in charge of making sure all equipment is in working order
• Capable and smart to work in the kitchen lead role
Requirements
• BS Degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus
• Minimum 4 years of proven working experience as Sous Chef with excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Proven experience and responsibility in a busy, fast paced kitchen
• Strong knowledge in Mediterranean and International Cuisine
• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
• Knowledge of best cooking practices and understanding of trends and new styles
• Food Hygiene qualifications and professional cooking qualification
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
