Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Administration

- Attend all staff meetings
- Maintain a daily activity log
- Pre-assign lockers for all incoming guests
- If requested assist with check-in arriving guests
- Confirm with guest all scheduled appointments and treatments at check-in
- Maintain guest history files on all existing guests
- Confirm amenity deliveries and room service orders prior to guest arrival
- Attend all safety meeting
- Work as part of the team to achieve department sales budgets and forecasts
- Achieve retail targets as a percentage of revenues
- Attend product or education classes related to position
- Attend all staff training in accordance with the Annual Training Plan
- Provide staff mentoring when required

Guest Service Responsibilities

- Greet all arriving and departing guests by name
- Communicate guest preferences to relevant departments and co-workers
- Receive and respond to all guest concerns, comments or complaints with discretion and urgency
- Introduce guests to the receptionist/therapist, if an advisor is not available, advise all incoming guests of spa procedures, special instructions, additional available treatments and services
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times, including in-house guests, day guests and telephone enquiries
- Ensure that all the standards of guest service are as set in the spa training manual and conducted as per the standard operating procedures

Requirements

Communicative

- Answer the telephone in a prompt and friendly manner
- Effectively communicate with all co-workers, spa guests, hotel guests and management to their understanding

Operations

- Stock linen items in showers, wet areas, vanities and storerooms
- Collect all soiled linen from baskets and floors
- Deliver linen to laundry keeping a count of linen dropped and collected
- Maintain cleanliness of basins, lockers, showers and wet areas
- Ensure locker room lighting and music levels are correctly set and maintained
- Provide guests with a tour of changing room and facilities
- Offer fresh towels to changing room guests
- Maintain and replenish complimentary snacks and beverages
- Accommodate guest preferences and/or locker changes
- Prepare lockers with amenities and supplies for arriving guests
- Ensure guest safety in wet areas by removing standing water and reporting anything unsafe or hazardous
- Maintain locker room, prep and treatment room cleanliness at all times, practice a 'clean as you go' approach to the work areas
- Monitor and maintain Hammam room temperatures and cleanliness, report all maintenance issues to engineering
- Escort all guests to changing rooms, therapist/receptionist, retail/tea area or to next appointment
- Receive and store all professional and retail products
