Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This position involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing control room supervisors and operators in the performance of surveillance and monitoring of life safety and video surveillance systems. The role is dedicated to the emergency and crisis deliverables assigned to Security Section including building emergency response, incident management and building evacuation. This includes the wide Fire and Security warden program

CONTROL ROOM
* Coordinate and organize day to day centralized control room operations for Human Resources Department, Security Section
* Plans, directs and oversees the implementation of comprehensive electronic security systems (video surveillance, access control, intruder detection) to ensure the protection of sites and its employees, visitors and third parties
* Manage the development and implementation of document standards and administrative functions relevant to control room operations, and electronic security systems
* Manage the development and implementation of a reporting and review structure to ensure that risks are effectively identified and assessed and appropriate controls and responses are in place
* Directs and coordinates activities of personnel in reviewing or updating security measures due to new or revised regulations
* Monitor and maintain performance standards and ensure action is taken when standards are not met
* Establishing operational procedures for control room operations, surveillance, fire prevention, fire-fighting and investigations
* Check and analyze all incoming reports to formalize action plans
* Reports irregularities and hazards to appropriate personnel
* Select and train subordinate personnel in surveillance, incident response, emergency and crisis management and investigative techniques
* Establish good communication and interaction with the relevant members of local authorities
* When requested to do so, investigate security incidents and accidents or carry out specialized investigations including conducting interviews and submit findings in a timely manner
* Manage or conduct the collection and preservation of evidence to support post-investigation actions including recorded footage and other security data

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
* Manages the monitoring and response of Fire, Life and Safety systems and procedures.
* Organise the evacuation of building occupants from the Sites and ensure this can be carried out immediately in case of emergency
* Planning and controlling of emergency drills including development of emergency response teams
* Review and improve Crisis and Emergency Plans, Business Continuity Plans and conduct business impact analysis for key processes
* Manage the recovery and resumption of operations following incidents
* Confers with Head of Security to formulate emergency policies, determine need for programs, coordinate programs and response for emergencies
* Select and train subordinate personnel in protective procedures, first aid, fire safety and other duties
* Responsible for the Fire and Security Warden program including training and awareness as well as drills and rehearsals

Requirements

* A Diploma in Business or Security related field, Bachelor degree preferred
* Membership with ASIS or International Security Institute
* Security Certification for Close Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) from ASIS certification board
* Relevant experience required in a security supervisor role of a medium-to-large scale facility
* Minimum 4 years relevant experience
* Exposure to supervisor and managerial roles for security within a medium-to-large scale facility
* Regional experience in Middle East preferred

Knowledge/Skills:
* Good knowledge of security management (inclusive of risk management, crisis and emergency management, physical security, electronic security, personnel security, investigations)
* Knowledge of local and international security and safety standards
* Excellent Electronic Security Systems and Fire Safety Systems, with proven experience in technology for CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm
* Able to develop, implement and continuously improve operational procedures, training, standards and policies for security control room operations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management and capable of working to challenging timeframes
* Problem solving ability with a clear understanding of security objectives
* Ability to see problems as opportunities and manage well under pressure
