Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To analyse, interpret and articulate variances in financial data, assist in preparation of management reports for the bank and subsidiaries, assist in the forecasting and budgeting of financial data, prepare segment/customer profitability data in order to ensure the department’s financial analysis and MIS requirements are met and to support effective decision making. Produce various management information reports accurately and on time. Assist Manager-MIS and planning in day to day report production and analysis.

Data Analysis
Analyse financial data, overlay data sets and drill down to determine specific areas of variance in data, provide clear articulation and explanation of these areas of variance and the data analysis to the business to in order to inform and support decision making

MIS Development and Production
Assist in the updating of core banking, financial general ledger structure, product setup and ensure data base management in order to develop new and improve existing management information. Work on Microsoft and Management Information tools (BO) in order to produce information for various management reports.

Performance Management/ MI Reporting
Analyse and provide detailed management packs to Group Heads in order to provide a full detailed view of the business segment on a monthly basis with comparison to the budget

Budgets, Forecasts, Risk and Opportunities
Take inputs from budget meetings, assist in preparing financial budget and forecast and assess risk and opportunities for the business in order to provide budget presentations to Senior management and Board of Directors

Fund Transfer Pricing
Complete fund transfer pricing (FTP) at contract level for all products in order to ensure FTP is being accurately applied at each product and segment level

Monthly ALCO Pack
Generate accurate monthly ALCO presentations in order to provide the ALCO committee with information on balance sheet, P&L and key performance indicators such as yield, cost of funds and other ratios

Project Management
Assist on new projects (Core banking, IFRS IX) to ensure financial support for accounting, performance management and faster decision management

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders

Self-Management
Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance

Customer Service
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• CA Inter / MBA Finance other equivalent qualification
• At least 3 years of experience in management accounting, data analysis and preparation of management reports for banks

Knowledge and Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of financial accounting in banks Analytical skills
• MS office (Excel, Power point, Access)
• Advanced knowledge in Business Intelligence tools
