Job description / Role
JOB PURPOSE :
Support the development of relevant functional strategies related to Low Carbon Solutions & International Growth segments, including hydrogen, CCUS, biofuel, LNG, etc. and align it with ADNOC group integrated strategy
Provide ad-hoc strategic direction and technical and evaluation support to the business development functions
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
LCS&IG Strategy
- Support the development and update of strategy and strategic plans related to the Low Carbon Solutions & International Growth business segments that support growth, profitability, and sustainability aspirations.
- Gather the data and support in the annual planning process to ensure market trends, customer needs and global benchmarks are timely addressed while partnering with sales finance and product leads to outline concrete business development goals
- Support identification of linkages and implications of developed strategies in other LCS&IG and ADNOC activities and propose and implement effective actions.
- Support achievement of proper alignment between Group & LCS&IG strategic direction, priorities, and objectives and developed LCS&IG strategies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of LCS&IG business strategies, operational changes and process improvement initiatives.
- Support liaison with LCS&IG Performance Management Division to develop and monitor metrics aligned with LCS&IG strategic objectives.
- Analyse relevant data such as competitive information, industry trends, and historical performance to develop sound forecasts in support of plans.
Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Department's budgets and assist in the implementation of the Approved Budget and work plans to deliver Department objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved performance objectives for the Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices, pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
- Regular work-related contact with LCS&IG Strategy & Portfolio VP, and other team members, as well as with members of the LCS&IG Directorate.
- Contacts with Directorate's Management, Functional heads and Department Managers for development and implementation of directorate's strategies, long term and short-term plans.
- Contacts with Management of other Directorates like TEO, Upstream, DM&T, etc. for routine departmental activities.
- Contacts with Management of other Directorates in ADNOC for routine divisional activities.
- Contacts with ADNOC Group Companies' management for strategy alignment and governance.
External
- Contacts with third party service provider, suppliers, consultants, and industry experts.
- Frequent contacts with ADNOC Shareholder and partners for discussion, exchange of information / expertise purposes.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor 's Degree in Marketing, Research, Economics, Business Administration, Management, Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 8 years' experience in Industry (e.g., Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, Renewables, etc.)
