Specification Manager - Gypsum/Plaster/Plasterboards - Dubai - Leading Manufacturer

Client is a leading building material provider worldwide. As a leading manufacturer of Plaster and Gypsum they are now looking to hire a Specification Manager in Dubai

The main purpose of this role is to have the products specified in the early stages of projects, and interaction with the consultants, architects and designers at concept/planning stages. You will provide detailed specifications and support to external partners to achieve preferred vendor list status to be the choice for interior and lightweight dry lining, ceilings in the region.

Your duties will include but not limited to:
- To identify and develop loyal relationships with key consultants and clients to provide a leading experience through technical specification
- Responsible for the specification development and mix of all product groups within the project specification market (Drylining, MF Ceilings, Perforated Ceilings, Ecophon and Plasters)
- Working with the Project Sales Manager and Technical Support Manager to ensure that specification and package is shared providing a leading customer experience
- Responsible for the coordination and regular presentation of educational ‘Lunch and Learn’ seminars to consultants and clients to develop their knowledge and support the products
- Responsible for the management of the future project pipeline from thorough project assessment and selection
- Responsible for the management of the Project Administrator and Specification Executive by providing training, guidance and clear objectives to support project tracking, information gathering, simple specification provision and project pack submittals

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering/Professional Construction Qualifications.
- Construction industry background with 4-5 years technical specification.
- Practical and logical knowledge of construction products and building systems.
- Empowers each team member to reach high level performance.
- Organises the support that his/her team needs and gives his/her own advice.
- Anticipates the impact of his/her words and acts on his/her contacts.
- Knows how to use this to choose the most appropriate moment to act and to use arguments relevant for each person.
- Creates opportunities for cooperation and is in constant search of collective efficiency.
