Speech and Language Therapist

Job description / Role

The main working objective for this role is to perform speech and language assessments and evaluations to all charges and designs treatment programs to address speech disorders and delays. The candidate should further perform the following tasks:

- Provide ongoing guidance for every individual patient’s program
- Provide progress reports and feedback to parents, teachers, and within the team inter-disciplinary members to monitor patient’s continuous development
- Employs behavior management techniques to ensure consistency in therapy
- Collects data and maintain documentation on patient’s program
- Conducts research for new methodologies and therapy interventions to enhance the program for patients

Requirements

The minimum entry requirement for Speech Therapist:

- 3 years’ experience post degree
- relevant degree accredited
- Maintain 20 CEU's per year (Proof of continuous professional development)
- BLS (Basic Life Support Certificate)
- HAAD License
- Good Heath
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
