Sr. Electrical Engineer (High Rise Buildings)

Job description / Role

• General supervision and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of electrical systems at construction sites
• Monitor, verify, and document the work being performed through subordinates.
• To ensure proper implementation of design at site.
• Provide technical assistance to the construction team as needed.
• Generate/Review material requisitions, submittals, and ensure contract performance measures are met.
• Ensure that all electrical site activities are conducted under controlled conditions as per shop drawings, method statements, specification and work plan
• To coordinate with other engineering discipline
• Assist the Project Manager in ensuring completion of the project per schedule within budget, in accordance with quality standards
• Evaluate the project construction to ensure compliance with standards for electrical systems.
• Serve as the senior Site Representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of electrical works.
• Receive/Action Request for Information (RFI) that apply to electrical works. RFI's requiring design feedback will be directed to the Designer for response. Review the responses for adequacy.
• To handle the complete electrical design (Low current system, lighting, and power, load distribution, load schedules, and single line diagrams)
• Plan, review, and coordinate design and construction operations to ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications
• Liaise with local authorities and ministerial agencies having jurisdiction over the project.
• Investigate electrical failures or unexpected maintenance problems

Salary:
AED 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Graduate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 10 to 12 minimum years of experience as Electrical Engineer working in high rise building projects
• Currently working in Abu Dhabi projects
• Experience in working with local authorities - ADDC
• Preferably ADDC approved Engineer
