Job description / Role
Black Pearl has been given an exclusive mandate to recruit for six (6) Staff Nurses for a well-established rehabilitation centre. In this role, the person will be responsible and accountable for the assessment of required care and development, implementation and evaluation of holistic care for Paediatric and/or adults in a long term care setting.
Other general duties will include:
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, conflict management and problem solving ability.
• Promotes a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research, evidence based practice and the developmental of additional skills in the specialty
If the specialization is for Paediatrics, the clinical practice responsibilities will be:
• Ensures care delivered encompasses
• Child Development: Domains, Stages and Milestones
• Typical and Atypical Development
• Children with identified special needs
• Influences on Development : Biology, Families, Environment, Culture, and Stress
If the specialization is for Adult, the clinical practice responsibilities will include:
• Responsible to ensure that the nursing process of; diagnosis, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the adult resident/patient’s care is in collaboration with the family and is in accordance with the organizations policy and procedures and scope of service.
• Prioritizes resident/patient care based on continuous assessment of their ongoing needs.
• Administer medications according to organization policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Able to accurately adult medication doses.
• Accountable and responsible to practice within the MoH and HAAD narcotics policies and procedures
Requirements
• Bachelor degree holder (attested documents)
• Minimum of 2 years clinical post qualification experience from a well know Rehabilitation Hospital or Tertiary Healthcare Industry
• Must have worked in the UAE for at least 1 year
• With experience in long term ventilation support
• Must have valid and up to date nursing license issued by either DHA or HAAD
• Must have up to date BLS / CMS record
• Strong fluency in Arabic and English
• Willing to work on shifting schedule; 12 hours per day
