Job description / Role
This individual will be responsible for liaising with government entities and authorities; communicating regarding projects, approvals, up-to-date procedures and efficient timelines; feeding information back to the Design team, with an understanding of the technical details of these major build projects. He/she will represent the company in all dealings with the authorities, and be the main point of contact .
This professional will be involved with various UAE municipalities for both Buildings and Infrastructure departments.
Meetings will be followed up with report writing to the Design team to ensure that the current guidelines and Building code criteria are relayed into Design and documentation, as well as being hands on assisting in the preparation of design documentation of projects, and in writing letters to the authorities. The role requires the development of effective relations with key individuals at each of the main authorities, which includes gaining early advice of likely changes in their requirements.
Requirements
This professional will be living in the UAE already and have been working in a similar role with a reputable design/architecture/engineering consultancy.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience post-graduation of Architecture/Engineering Degree, this individual will have a strong technical knowledge, expert knowledge of UAE building codes, and have significant liaison experience with UAE municipalities. Track record in gaining approvals and a professional demeanor is required.
Arabic speaking is a must.
