Job description / Role
As a Stewarding Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and economic operation of the Stewarding Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and overseeing the operating equipment inventory. Here are some further duties:
* Ensures that breakages are administered so as to provide constant feedback to the operation as a tool to reduce breakages and losses.
* Works closely with Head Chef and Food and Beverage Manager in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
* Strictly controls inventories and par stocks in the operation for all operating equipment to ensure that the outlet is adequately equipped.
* Assists to conduct monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
* Controls the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
* Ensures that each outlet is supplied with clean and dry operating equipment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management.
* Minimum 2-3 years work experience as Stewarding Manager or Assistant Manager in a 4/5 star hotel or large restaurant with good standards.
* Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices, occupational health and safety standards and an international work experience shall be advantageous.
* Clear decision making capabilities, administrative experience along with interpersonal skills supporting team work.
* Highly motivated, self-driven and result-oriented personnel with excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication (English/Hindi) skills, as well an outgoing personality.
