Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job purpose

Drive sales through the performance and development of the Sales Team. Ensure the delivery of exceptional operational, commercial and customer service standards

Key accountabilities

Strategy Development & Implementation
• Actively contributes and assists in developing strategies in collaboration with Location and Area Manager to increase store traffic; optimize profitability; develop high potential customers; Promote brand awareness, establish market/store presence, and capture competitive market share and work towards implementing these strategies within the store

Customer Experience
• Lead the team in executing an exceptional customer service experience and create memorable moments by exceeding their expectations; building meaningful and lasting customer relationships and increase and retain customer loyalty
• Monitor and track all customer daily appointments and be present during appointments to ensure the most elevated customer experience is being offered.
• Lead the team in executing an excellent after-sales experience and ensures full adherence to repair/return policies and procedures through proper communication with internal stakeholders.
• Resolves customer complaints and responds to comments in a timely and professional manner.

Sales/ Revenue Management
• Drive and maximize sales performance of the team to consistently achieve the overall sales budget objectives while ensuring operational integrity and monitoring monthly profitably.
• Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the sales floor through customer engagement with VICs
• Develop and implement sales action plans in collaboration with the Location Manager to enhance sales for the various brand/product lines.
• Communicates company set KPI’s; identifies and implements strategies to ensure performance standards are met for all the KPI's.
• Analyze the store's monthly performance, reporting current business trend to cover every aspect of your store, as well as, competitor performance to ensure an increase in market share.
• Achieves targeted Mystery Shopping results through on-going development and training of the team. Ensures that the Sales Team works towards achieving an outstanding rating in store customer experience.

Store Management - Operations
• Maintains operations by ensuring compliance with company’s Standard Operating Procedure. Ensures that the team is knowledgeable and adequately trained in store operations procedures.
• Maintains proper loss prevention standards and ensure compliance with cash handling, safe and deposits procedures.
• Coordinates with facilities department on repairs or replacements of furniture or equipment. Supports company maintenance standards/programs to optimize asset life.
• Ensures merchandise is secure by developing and implementing security measures and monitoring surveillance equipment.
• Ensures interior and exterior of the store are maintained to company and brand standards.
• Promotes safe work habits, identifies and resolves safety hazards. Documents accidents and determines root cause and propose solutions.

Stock Management
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapports with potential and existing customers. Reports on product performance, buying trends and customer needs.
• Conducts regular stock takes and store operations audits to ensure compliance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
• Generates & analyzes sales reports and liaise with Brand Management and Merchandising teams to maximize stock potential. Submits daily invoices and sales recap to Finance.
• Develops and maintains a system for monitoring and controlling inventory levels that result in minimal shrinkage. Resolves discrepancies identified in the inventory report.
• Ensures that the team is adequately trained in inventory management techniques such as in-bound and out bound movement of goods, receiving, stocking, restocking, transfers and managing inventory discrepancies.

People Management
• Manage the allocation of staff resources and scheduling to effectively drive sales and ensure excellent customer service.
• Create and maintain a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, integrity and superior performance standards, leading by example.
• Develops effective communication channels within and outside the store including daily store briefings to communicate current business trends and relevant updates covering all relevant topics and information that will support and enhance sales performance, customer service, operations, product/brand knowledge.
• Provides on-going training and development to the team in the area of operating standards, customer service and product knowledge.
• Develops team members by establishing specific performance objectives, regularly measuring performance and conducting evidenced performance review feedback sessions.
• Identifies team members with potential for development and growth and works closely with Line Manager and HR on effective development and succession plans.
• Jointly with HR, ensures that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans.
• Develops strong working relationships with all store personnel, including all cross-department management teams.
• Conduct monthly coaching/counseling sessions with your associates to review performance and provide constructive, timely feedback. Oversee annual review process for your team and set annual employee goals.
• Partner with Location Manager and HRBP for all employee relations issues to ensure effective resolution.
• Conduct on spot coaching to ensure consistent customer experience and offer immediate correction of behaviors.
• Ensure a consistent and effective in-store onboarding experience for all new hires.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate daily, weekly and monthly schedules, by analyzing peak hours to ensure adequate floor coverage.

Other Tasks
• Provide support to marketing to ensure customer representation in events
• Maintains awareness of market trends and competition. Shares recommendation with Line Manager.
• Communicates and executes marketing and visual merchandising programs.
• Capture meaningful customer data for the purpose of building relationships to personalize prospect customer development opportunities. Monitor monthly Consumer Management database reporting.
• Model the AS&S image through grooming standards per the AS&S grooming standards.
• Fully support and align with all key business initiatives and new product launches.
• Lead and support Company driven local events and product launches, ensuring customer attendance and sales results are met.

Salary:
AED 17,000 to 22,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Education
• Graduate in any discipline

Experience
• 5-7 years’ experience of successfully running a profitable retail store

Functional Skills
• Development commercial and negotiating skills
• In depth knowledge of the industry
• Track record of successfully managing a similar scale retail operation
• A confident person with a thorough product knowledge and latest trends
• Pleasant personality and good grooming
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Arabic Speaking
• Female
• Jewelry or Luxury Retail experience
• Previous Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager experience needed
