Store Manager - Dubai - Western Educated

My client is looking for a Store Manager to further develop an established and reputable brand to a successfully performing retail operation and to implement best practices retail management.

The main tasks are:
• Ensuring profitability of the retail outlet
• Managing the P & L and entire store operations (staff, stock, purchasing, admin)
• Manage customer relationship, service and customer satisfaction
• Manage brand, marketing and communications
• Ensure efficient operation and team management
• Process management
• Future expansion
• P & L management
• Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Retain & motivate store staff by coaching, mentoring, training and leading team.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers
• Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.
• Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
• Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Visual Display & Merchandising
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
• Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Ensure best in class product display and demo
• Suggest Retail Promotions and Offers on Monthly Basis
• Maintain customer data base
• Ensure stock availability at all times
• Update Recommended Retail Price on Display
• Study competition model , pricing and policies to take corrective measures
• Suggest improvement areas to increase Revenue and Margins
• Daily/weekly/monthly sales revenue report to be generated

Requirements

Ideally the candidate should have:
• 8 to 10 years of Store / Outlet management experience (preferably stand alone store, but maybe also large department store section management)
• Must have managed an entire operations with P&L (either independent store or department section)
• Must have managed teams of not less than 5-10 staff
• Candidate must handle large / diversified portfolio of products
• Ideal if candidate has achieved business turn-around in previous company
• Beneficial if candidate has experience in setting up franchisee business
• Products: first choice: Fabric / Garments / sewing machines/ related but not limited to
• Also Second choice: consumer electronics, house appliances, life style products;
• Pricing,/ Purchasing, Vendor Relationships,
• Market Knowledge
