Strategic Growth Director - Atkins Middle East & Africa

Atkins is a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group. The Middle East and Africa (MEA) business (Atkins, F+G & Acuity) provides engineering led design, project management, supervision and advisory services mainly across KSA, UAE, Oman, Qatar and Kenya.

The Regional Strategic Growth Director reports to the Regional CEO and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is focussed on revenue growth, leading collaboration across the group and focussing resources where they will be most impactful. They will drive the strategy process and then monitor delivery of the strategy against forward looking KPI's Using a defined data-driven approach the role leads on business strategy & planning, client management and bidding to deliver revenue growth with the operational business and focusses existing resources to the most effective and collaborative areas to achieve strategic growth.

Dimensions

- Work with CEO and divisional MD's to implement strategy & promote culture of collaboration;
- Lead client engagement program and support to identify new accounts;
- Identify and lead strategic pre-positioning for major and must win opportunities;
- Direct the bid studio and lead data driven decision making aligned with strategy and growth targets;
- Implement technology that supports automation and intelligent growth;
- Lead and update the Strategy and 5 Year Plan;
- Monitor and report against strategic plan and actions;
- Manage Value Propositions for all strategic pursuits and clients;
- Identify and continually assess priority markets and services to position short and long terms growth;
- Own client management and face strategically important clients;
- Manage client feedback program and interpret data to inform wider client plans, pipeline and strategy;
- Contribute positively as a member of the SLT;
- Support CEO and divisional MD's on any other strategic matters.

Accountabilities

Reporting to the MEA CEO, the Strategic Growth Director will be responsible for strategic revenue growth, key client management, strategic opportunities as well as preparing and driving the regional strategy.

- Clear and well communicated strategy, monitored with forward looking indicators;
- Clear strategic client list with a managed plan for each;
- Reliable data driven approach to strategic pipeline and pursuits;
- Increased YoY pipeline and win rate with strategic clients in strategic markets;
- Improving annual book to bill by 125% to meet revenue growth targets with strategic clients;
- Clear list of must win and strategic pursuits with a pre-positioning plan being managed for each;
- Well managed bid studio with priorities understood to maximise benefit across all regional businesses;
- Active participation and influence as an MEA SLT member;
- Increasing collaborative opportunities across SNC-Lavalin group in region.

- Proven track record of strong strategic leadership to achieve revenue growth in consulting business;
- Demonstrable record of driving and sustaining business change and improvement;
- Data-driven with strong commercial acumen to inform focus and priorities, ensuring financial results achieved;
- Ability to understand trends and projections to identify key areas of opportunity and growth;
- Experience in developing and managing key and strategic client relationships;
- Highly collaborative;
- High-performing team builder that delivers result through influencing and engagement;
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to quickly adapt to changing environments;
- Aptitude for continual learning, specifically in the technology space;
- Excellent language, report writing, presentation and communication skills;
- Education level Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or Marketing;
- Minimum 15 years' experience.
