Careem is looking for a rockstar Strategy Specialist.
JOB PURPOSE
The Strategy team is at the center of the thinking and planning of major initiatives within Careem that help us to successfully achieve our ambitious growth targets. As a director of Strategy you will be responsible for working with a high performing team to shape the corporate strategy of Careem at a time when the ride hailing market is evolving rapidly. This includes :
- Understanding the industry lands cape
- Developing short an d long term strategic plans
- Defining organizational priorities quarterly
- Supporting with analysis and advice on major investment decisions and
- Developing market focused strategies to support our Mountain-peaks .
JOB DIMENSIONS
This role has a significant impact on the overall organizational performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITES (OUTPUTS, KPI'S)
This role will be accountable for the following:
- Accountability for overall trip growth and profitability (shared KPI with markets)
- Delivery of an annual corporate strategic plan
- Delivery of quarterly priorities
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
The ideal candidate will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer service, and a strong alignment with our core values: boldness, agility, focus, collaboration and Additional qualifications include:
- 10 -15 + years experience working with the strategy arm of a leading organization and/or top tier management consulting firm .
- A passion for and demonstrated experience working with technology companies including marketplace focused companies
- Demonstrated experience building and motivating high performing teams.
- A track record of leadership, applying problem solving skills to tackle complex challenges, working successfully with senior leaders in organization s and defining strategic direction + getting to impact
