Structural Design Engineer

Job description / Role

Reporting directly to the senior design engineer and working closely with the drawing office, this post will suit someone who wishes to increase their design experience within the Telecoms industry.

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level and have experience working with Tower, Mast and Pole structures and will have already have gained 3 to 5 years’ experience in this field working with design codes such as ANSI/TIA-222G and the latest British & Eurocodes and American codes (AASHTO added advantage).

They will be conversant with the use of STAAD/STAAD Pro and have a working knowledge of tnxTower, Prokon, MS Tower, RISA and Space Gass, as well as drafting programs such as AutoCAD 2D/3D. Knowledge of Dubai and Abu Dhabi local authority guidelines would be an advantage.

The work with company is interesting and varied, giving the candidate the opportunity to diversify his skills in areas such as vibration analysis, wind dynamics, and the design of clad and decorative structures. Additionally, many of the company’s products incorporate Thermal, Mechanical or Electro Mechanical features; experience in these areas would be seen as an advantage.
